Does not work with SBGW magazine tube system!
  • Shotgun Boogie Gun Works adjustable trigger kit for competition rifles, model Uberti '73

Includes trigger, two trigger springs one is ~1 lb and ~2 lb, washer for the trigger spring, screws, pin and safety bar spring. While this kit is easily installed, it is not drop-in, it requires fitting by a competent Gunsmith. See also the article in Cowboy Chronicle January 2015 from Larsen E. Pettifogger. • Safety bar for Uberti 1873 lever-action rifle.

  • The original Uberti springs can be used. You get one right spring, one left spring, two nuts, and two screws with a T8 (Torx) head. Please note: The springs are made for short-stroke versions of Uberti '66 and '73 rifles! To use them on rifles without a short stroke kit, the cam of the lever needs to be modified.
  • Punch to get the extractor and tab pins out of the Uberti bolt.

Works on the small .357/.38 Ubert bolts and on the bigger 45LC and 44-40 Uberti bolts. On bolts of the 1873, 1866, and 1860 rifle bolts. The pin punch combines the advantages of a starter and parallel pin punch in one tool.
    • Parallel Pin Punches with Guide Sleeves
    • Heat-treated for the perfect balance of hardness, strength, and durability
    • Industrial quality
    • Manufactured from high-grade tool steel
  • The new and blue aluminum block keeps the bolt stable, when you want to punch the extractor pin out.

The block can be used on small and large Uberti 73 and 66 rifle bolts. For 357/38 and 45LC, 44-40 etc.
  • These pins fit in Uberti bolts of the 1860, 1866, and 1873 rifles.

    • For small bolts in .357/.38
    • Pins can be used also for the tabs on the .357/.38 bolts.
    • You buy a set of 5 pins.
  • SASS approved in 2020.

When installing this kit, please be aware that the bolt needs to be modified. You do not have to, nor do I recommend, making modifications to the carrier. All other parts of this kit are drop-in.

My short stroke kit is not intended to be appreciably shorter than the other ones on the market. The single biggest advantage is the new addition of adjustment screws. Both can be adjusted, when the rifle is assembled! The next difference is the newly configured stop points for the carrier. For this feature, the carrier arm is completely new, designed to hit the perfect high and the low points of the lifter’s travel.  There is no longer any need to adjust the timing here. No welding, filing, or bending is necessary to get perfect stop points for the carrier. With the first screw, you can adjust at what time the carrier arm starts to go up, pushed by the lever. The bolt and the carrier should not touch each other. And even more important, the tab on the bottom of the bolt should not touch the incoming round. If that happens, after a while, the tab will inevitably break. We don’t want to have that problem. With the second screw, you can adjust carrier timing, so that the lever pushes the carrier completely down to the bottom of its travel. This is a feature of the original Winchesters; however, the Uberti 73 rifles don’t do that. You can test that feature thus; when you close the lever, then you can push the carrier about ¼ of an inch up. That adjustment also affects the time at which the lever starts to push the carrier down. One of the problem points of the stock design is this; when the carrier is in its highest position, you can start closing the lever, and while the bolt is still going forward to push the round into the chamber, at the same time the carrier starts to move down. If they touch each other, you will have a problem. To make sure that the carrier and bolt don't touch each other while moving, the bolt needs to be modified. Without that modification, it's not possible to cycle the rifle. I usually do that on my milling machine. I take special care to keep tight tolerances and the finest possible finish.  The tool steel on a Shotgun Boogie Short Stroke Kit has higher strength and toughness than any other short stroke kit on the market. With tight tolerances and quality materials, you avoid a rifle failure, at the worst possible time! Installation of SBGW short stroke kit is possible without filing or welding. And, on top of all of the rest, the timing can be easily readjusted, should the action begin to loosen after usage, as the parts wear in. No more cutting and welding, filing and bending,  and taking the complete rifle apart! Pop off the side plates, adjust the tolerances with the set screws, and you’re done! This is only possible with the SBGW 1873 Short Stroke Kit.

Attention: This short stroke kit is made only for original Uberti levers. It does not work, when the lever is bent, welded, cut,  or otherwise modified!

  • Screw for the loading gate of the Uberti lever-action rifle mod 1873.

  • SBGW extended firing pin for Uberti 1860, 1866, and 1873 rifles for all calibers.

The pin is coming together with the perfect firing pin spring.

  • The original Magazine Tube System invented by Shotgun Boogie

    • The Uberti 1873 rifles use the same diameter for all magazine tubes, 45, 44-40 as well as .357/.38.
    • The magazine tube system gets the 38 rounds from a zig-zag into a straight line, and lets them come out of the magazine more straight into the carrier.
    • This magazine tube system is available for 20 inch barrel length.
*While this kit is easily installed, it is not drop-in ready and requires fitting by a competent Gunsmith.
  • The Shot Gun Boogie washers eliminate the play of the lever, (which is not easy to not easy to center), so that you can finally get the screw through the: frame, lower tang, lever, carrier arm and washer AND The Shot Gun Boogie pin made out of stainless steel makes it simple.

    Includes 6 washers and tool.
    • 2 washers: OD 10mm,   ID 5mm, thickness 0.2mm OD 0.39370", ID 0.19685", thickness 0.00787"
    • 2 washers: OD 10mm,   ID 5mm, thickness 0.25mm OD 0.39370", ID 0.19685", thickness 0.00984"
    • 2 washers: OD 10mm,   ID 5mm, thickness 0.3mm OD 0.39370", ID 0.19685", thickness 0.01181"
  • The Shotgun Boogie Lever Hook Replacement Button is a new and improved replacement button, instead of the hook on the Uberti 1873 receiver, behind the lever.

Boogie Hints: The Shotgun Boogie Lever Hook Replacement Button is held by a nut, instead of a tiny pin, is made from stainless steel and can be dropped in.
  • Shotgun Boogie Tuning Spring for Marlin 1894 and 1895.

This spring is designed and made for competition rifles. Using the Shotgun Boogie original spring will help reduce trigger-pull and finger strength needed to deactivate the safety bar. *While this part is easily installed, it is not drop-in ready and requires fitting by a competent Gunsmith.
  • Using the Shotgun Boogie Trigger Spring for your Uberti 1873 will reduce the trigger pull.

Boogie Hints: Boogie recommends using a Dremel drill with a diamond bit to grind a small slot at the tab of the sear, (to prevent the spring sliding right or left side off the sear). Sometimes a shooter want or need more feedback on the trigger. In that case the 2 lb trigger helps a lot. The kit is coming now with two springs. One about 1 lb trigger pull, the other about 2 lb trigger pull. Easiest way to find out, which trigger pull works best. *While this part is easily installed, it is not drop-in ready and requires fitting by a competent Gunsmith.
  • This device keeps the firing pins of the Uberti Mod 1873, 1866 and 1860 from breaking while dry firing.

    4 pieces in a pack.
